Georges St-Pierre likely meeting Anderson Silva if he wins at UFC 154

UFC champions Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva have both expressed interest in facing the other as a means of determining the top pound-for-pound fighter in MMA and it appears the organization is open to obliging. According to UFC President Dana White, St-Pierre and Silva will likely be booked for a bout if ?Rush? comes out later this year with his hand raised against Carlos Condit.

GSP and Condit are set to clash on November 17 at UFC 154 as a means of unifying St-Pierre?s linear title with the interim belt.

?I think we?re pretty close,? said White in an interview with UFC Tonight when asked about the likelihood of putting the two stand-out scrappers together. ?If GSP beats Condit, that could be the next fight. These guys want to fight each other now. If you?re a fighter who has been as dominant as long as Anderson and you are a a fighter who has been as dominant as long as GSP you want to test yourself.?

?We would probably do this fight at 180 pounds,? he continued. ?At one point it sounded like Anderson wanted to go to 170 at take GSP?s title. Then it was a catch weight because Georges didn?t want to go to 185, because he said if he moved to 185 he would have to stay there. We figured 180 was a good weight for it.?

St-Pierre Focused on Condit but Interested in Silva

White also affirmed the match-up would probably headline a historic event, adding, ?I think if that fight happens we would try to do it at Texas Stadium in Dallas.?
